Doctor of Philosophy (Health)

A Doctor of Philosophy is awarded for a substantial, original contribution to knowledge achieved in three years of full-time study (or six years of part-time study). Most units are equal to one credit point. As a full-time student you will study four credit points per trimester and usually undertake two trimesters per year. Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements. Undertake research in a health and health services related topic under the supervision of an academic staff member in the School of Medicine. Research may be supported across broad range of disciplines including rural and regional general practice; chronic disease management, health service evaluation, health and wellbeing, public health, medical education, and optometry.
